Computer Maintenance
The Computer Maintenance program gives students the technical knowledge to design, develop, install, and manage computers and various computer devices. Students learn effective methods for troubleshooting problems by using effective communication skills. Students are also instructed in the use of diagnostic tools to assess and diagnose problems on computers, laptops, tablets, printers, and/or cell phones.
Digital Photography
The Digital Photography program prepares students to produce and preserve images that communicate, convey ideas and feelings, and tell a story using technical expertise, creativity, and composition skills. Throughout the Digital Photography program, students learn and practice valuable real-world skills using professional-grade digital cameras and industry-standard image editing software to create high-quality media products.
Engineering
The Engineering program introduces students to apply basic engineering principles and technical skills in support of engineers engaged in a wide variety of projects. Students develop skills for research, production, and operations and applications to specific engineering specialties. Throughout the Engineering instructional program, students learn and develop problem-solving skills by tackling real-world engineering problems.
Film & TV Production
The Film and TV Production program prepares students to produce digital films and videos and to work in a variety of on- and off-camera positions within traditional and emerging video production industries. Students who complete the Film and TV Production program develop an in-depth understanding of audio-visual techniques to produce a cohesive, professional-grade finished product. Throughout the program, students learn and practice valuable real-world skills using professional video production equipment and software to create high-quality media products.
Finance
The Finance program prepares students to plan, manage, and analyze the financial and monetary aspects and performance of business enterprises, banking institutions, or other organizations. Students who complete the Finance program develop an in-depth understanding of business and financial management principles and practices as well as the fundamentals of personal finance. Throughout the program, students learn and practice valuable real-world skills using industry standard spreadsheets and/or accounting software to manage financial information.
Graphic Design
The Graphic Design program prepares students to use technical expertise, creativity, and esthetic principles to design and create visual concepts that meet specific commercial or promotional needs. Throughout the Graphic Design program students will learn the best practices unique to graphic design and related industries and will use real-world skills and professional-grade software to create high-quality designs and projects.
Marketing
The Marketing program teaches students the essential functions of marketing, information management, project planning, promotion, risk management, and sales. The Marketing program includes instruction in market research, budgeting, and creative development, emphasizing the importance of public relations and branding. Specialized programs of study within the Marketing instructional program may include sports and entertainment marketing, hospitality marketing, or advertising and public relations.
Network Security (Computer Networking)
The Network Security instructional program prepares students to assess the security needs of computer and network systems, recommend safeguard solutions, and manage the implementation of security devices, systems, and procedures. Students enhance their technical knowledge/skills associated with application integrity, cyber threat management, and infrastructure security within Network Technologies’ occupations.
Nursing Services
The Nursing Services program prepares students to perform nursing-related services to patients in hospitals and long-term care facilities under the training and supervision of a registered/licensed nurse. The Nursing Services program is designed to provide students with school-based and work-based supervised learning. The Nursing Services students develop leadership, social, civic, and career skills through participation in the Career and Technical Student Organization HOSA (Future Health Professionals).
Software & App Design
The Software and App Design program teaches students to apply basic engineering principles and technical skills to support engineers. Students learn about programming, databases, user interfaces, networking, security, software testing and evaluation, and customization. The Software and App Design Career and Technical Education program prepares students to meet the needs of the workplace.
Sports Medicine
The Sports Medicine program introduces students to the various disciplines within sports medicine and rehabilitation sciences. Students learn analysis of human movement based on anatomical and mechanical principles. Emphasis is placed on the anatomy and physiology of the muscular, skeletal, and nervous systems and their interaction in human movement and athletic performance.
