As you cheer on your favorite student-athletes from the bleachers, we know how important these events are to you and your family. Queen Creek Unified School District high schools are implementing clear bag protocols at high school athletics events this school year. The purpose of these protocols is to help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all students, parents, and game spectators.
Approved Bags:
- Clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags (no larger than 12” x 6” x 12”)
- One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags (i.e. Ziploc)
- Small clutch bags (no larger than 4.5” x 6.5”) with or without a handle or strap
- Medical bags (subject to inspection)
Prohibited Items:
Guests will be asked to return the following items to their vehicle as we are unable to provide storage at our venues.
- Soft or hard sided coolers/ice chests
- Glass or metal containers
- Large purses
- Backpacks
- Camera bags
- Tinted / colored totes
- Mesh bag (i.e. reusable grocery bag)

Frequently Asked Questions:
What are clear bag protocols?
This safety measure aligns with best practices already in place at many public venues and school districts. The protocols enhance public safety at our athletic venues and help ensure a safe, welcoming environment for all spectators.
Do I have to put everything I’m carrying into a permissible bag?
Clear bag protocols limit the type of bags carried into the venue, not items that you normally bring to a game. Therefore, you can carry items such as keys, makeup, feminine products, phone, wallet, etc., in your pockets or jacket if you choose not to use a clear bag or clutch purse.
Can I still bring items such as blankets or jackets in cooler weather?
You may bring blankets or extra clothing if they’re carried over your arm or shoulder. If folded, we just ask that they be opened for inspection at the gate.
What if I need to bring a medical bag?
Guests with medical needs may bring necessary bags, which will be respectfully inspected upon entry.
Are purses prohibited?
Small clutch bags/purses, with or without a handle or strap, are permitted along with a clear bag. This should enable guests to carry the same items they have in previous years and expedite entry into the venue.
Can spectators carry cameras, binoculars, smart phones, or tablets separately from what they put in a clear bag?
All of these items can be carried into the stadium as long as they are not in a case.
What happens if I show up at the gate with a bag that is not permitted?
Guests carrying non-approved bags or items will be required to return them to their vehicle and transfer their belongings to an approved clear plastic bag before entering the venue.
We appreciate your cooperation and support in helping us keep our school events safe and enjoyable for all. Thank you for being a valued part of our school family.
